Iced Tea With Fresh Mint and Lime

I love making a nice cold pitcher of iced tea on a hot summer day.  It is the kind of drink that no one can really resist once they see the ice cubes swirling around lime wedges in a beautiful crystal jar…and with fresh mint on top!   This particular tea is made of rose tea and the light aftertaste of petals is very soothing and cooling.  And if you are so inclined, you can always use a spirit to spike things up!

Iced Tea With Fresh Mint and Lime

  • 4 tea bags of Rose Petal tea (or your favorite flavor)
  • 2 limes sliced into thin wedges
  • Handful of fresh mint
  • 4 tablespoons of agave nectar or more if you want sweeter tea (or three packets of stevia)
  • Ice Ice baby.  Half a jar full.

Boil a kettle full of water.  In a large tea pot, pour water and steep tea bags for 30 minutes.  Take tea bags out and stir in sweetener (agave or stevia).  Place ice in jar and pour tea in.  Squeeze a couple of limes into the tea and then add the rest of the lime wedges and stir.  Pour into individual glasses and garnish with mint.  Delish!  Serves 4.
